I first encountered these podcasts earlier this year whilst looking for a topic for my dissertation. I found them incredibly interesting and I think people managing teams or starting up their own companies will find them particulalry useful.

Lynda Grattons podcast is about "Hotspots" or "Hotstreaks." She uses real world examples to focus on how companies can create teams that buzz with energy and innovation through a cooperative mindset, working across boundaries and points of ignition.

Martin Lindstrom's podcast on "Sensory Branding" explores how some brands use
our full range of senses to promote products. His examples focus on big multinational brands, but i think a lot of his points are relevant to people who want to create their own companies and product. If anything it will at least make you think about their overall presentation and your company's touch points.

Hope some of you find this useful
Hey there, I am researching product branding in response to decentralisation of marketing and distribution networks brought on by globalisation and the internet. I am interested in how large brands can adopt mass customisation of consumer products to tap into the prosumer culture.
Anyone with any links, authors or examples I would greatly appreciate any info. I am aware of adidas doing some interesting work.
Cheers

I'm looking for crossovers (between different art disciplines, or between an art discipline and another field of work) that have been created within cultural incubators. I would really like to talk to the initiators of these crossovers, and find out what stimulated the creation.
The reason is that I'm doing research on this subject for my Master thesis on Arts Management at the Utrecht School of the Arts.
Also If you are not an initiator yourself but you do know about an interesting/inspiring crossover project, please let me know.

"DiscRevolt provides a tangible solution for selling digital media. Artists upload songs to DiscRevolt's website and design their own artwork for a plastic download card. The cards are then printed by DiscRevolt with a unique redemption code on the back. Artists sell the cards to fans at live shows, and the fans can then download songs or albums from the artist's online page."
...Essentially an affiliate sales program built around widget technology, MixTape offers a new way for artists to get noticed, and for fans to support independent musicians and become a force in the music industry. It's an innovative approach that's already creating quite a buzz—Amnesty International is using it to promote viral sales of their Instant Karma CD, which features re-recorded John Lennon tracks to raise money for aid to Darfur...
Starbucks watch out. A new kind of business model is getting started.

Warm & cosy pay per hour work & meeting spaces for freeagents

http://www.thecoffeeoffice.com

Which brand is going to be the leader in this upcoming market. Do you think there is a chance for a start-up to become an important player in the business? If so please get in touch. I would love to give it a shot.
I am looking for examples of and people who have experiences with Co-Innovation projects. Co- Innovation projects are (by my own definition): " Inter-organsiatonal innovation projects with the aim to make peoples life better (and of course to earn money ;-))."

I am in the middle of my MBA Business Design masterthesis project at the newly founded Zollverein school of management & design in Essen (Germany). Have a look at my introduction posting "MBA Business Design" for more information about the school itself.

Here some examples of what i mean by Co-innovation:

Philis + Sara Lee (Senseo coffee maker)
Apple + music industry (itunes)
Nike + Apple (Nike Shoe with ipod chip)
Audi + B&O (High-end sound system especially designed for the A8)

More to come on www.co-innovation.de

If you are interested in the subject please contact me for exchange.

Thanks,
Peter
