Magazine looking for African city maps
The Austrian cultural/travel magazine TOURISTEN is looking for a commented map of an African city to be published in the next issue of TOURISTEN. The comments should regard favourite spots, historical/cultural locations, insider tips of restaurants, bars, shops, galleries etc. The map should be sent to us either as a print-ready file or as paper copy via surface mail. The deadline is October 1st. Examples of already published customized maps can be viewed at:

Michael,
we could try to make connections with three other cities: Dar Es Salaam, Windhoek and Johannesburg. Which one would interest you the most?
All the best from Adelaide

michael, is the city of ougadoiugou (burkina faso) too exotic/way off? it's not the biggest tourist hotspot, rather an insider tip. it hosts the film festival FESPACO next spring for example. i could probably provide such a map.

I don't think that anyone has produced the kind of trendy map of Dar that
you are looking for. It would have to be commissioned. I would suggest talking to someone at Tanzania Printers-
the MD is called Ali Khimji but he has an efficient lady working for him called Luty Makani. she can traced on
+255 754 287210. Best thing would be to send her an sms and follow up with a phone call
