Bless the people of Iran

As creative people, I wondered if each of us, in our own way, could say our own blessing for the struggling people of Iran.

I grew up with families torn apart by the crisis in Iran in the 1970s. Like so many countries, including my own, the people suffer while the politicians argue.

Today it's Iran's day of change.

I am lighting a candle for the people of Iran today. Will you say a blessing with me? Please let me know what you do or how you do it in the comments.

Dearest Claudia,
I live in Shiraz, Iran, however I grew up in the U.S. I am so proud to be an Iranian American and to have the opportunity to see the best of both of these cultures. While life is incredibly difficult here, especially for me as a single woman, but there are moments of brilliance that keep me here. Love of family, emphasis on friendship. Which makes it even more important to try and sort out these challenges facing the country. Its my dream that someday the doors of Iran will open wide so that the young may travel and conduct business freely without barriers. Aside from the govt these international sanctions against Iran have been so so difficult to live under.

But I appreciate your thinking of us so far away from you. Right now things are pretty quiet in Shiraz, and I pray that they stay that way. Your prayer certainly helps-I am sure of it. Thank you.
