Being aware of the large amount of events and organizations involved in the protests, exhibitions, conferences, talks, ... and noticing the lack of union between the events - Dropping Knowledge had the idea to built an independent camp to monitor the G8 movements and crowd.
Everyday volunteer designers, editors, photographers, bloggers, .. are reporting live, through the internet, about happenings of the G8.

The Dropping Knowledge Summercamp is an experiment in alternative multimedia coverage and creative artistic expression.

From Berlin to the Baltic Sea resort of Heiligendamm, where the leaders of the group of 8 nations will convene from June 6-9, dropping knowledge is on the trail of stories, questions and

Funding possibilities for short film

Hello!

I am currently preparing my animated debut short film and I am looking for ways of funding. The project is already partly funded by reference supplies of the FFA (german federal film funding board) but unfortunately that won't suffice for the whole production.
Nevertheless the project is going to be really low-budget (<50.000€) and really short (about 5min). I have just finished the first draft of the script and will spend the next few months refining the script and doing the visual development. I also have a first rough calculation based on a production time of 9 months (I will be doing most things on my own). If someone is interested I can always email you a brief project description and/or script.

I'm off to Berlin soon and have just found out that there is a music festival whilst I will be there - http://www.maerzmusik.de/. Has anyone been to this? It looks like contemporary classical but I am still waiting to receive a programme to find out the details.

I wondered whether someone might be able to point me in the direction of other interestings things to do and see whilst I'm there, such as which are the best flea markets to visit and interesting club nights - not in the dance/rave way but perhaps more nights that mix visuals, live music, cabaret - that sort of thing.

European Music Festivals - Summer 2007

We are an unsigned band that has a small UK following but would like to play out of the country and festivals seem to us to be a good way of playing to receptive crowds that may not have heard of us.

Co-Innovation

I am looking for examples of and people who have experiences with Co-Innovation projects. Co- Innovation projects are (by my own definition): " Inter-organsiatonal innovation projects with the aim to make peoples life better (and of course to earn money ;-))."

I am in the middle of my MBA Business Design masterthesis project at the newly founded Zollverein school of management & design in Essen (Germany). Have a look at my introduction posting "MBA Business Design" for more information about the school itself.

Here some examples of what i mean by Co-innovation:

Culture zone 06 / Congress in Frankfurt

There is an upcoming 5 days event in Frankfurt, Germany, a international culture congress with fantastic topics and speakers (e.g. Greil Marcus, Boris Groys, Rene Pollesch, Florian Rötzer etc.). It happens between July 12 and July 16, 2006. Does anybody know somebody out there who is going there? I will attend the event on Saturday and Sunday and would love to meet some shapeshifting persons around.

Football World Championship in Germany

...and European World Championship in Austria in 2008. People try to develop new business or to have "the idea" to make money in connection with major events like football championships. E.g. one has developed a pill, which desolved in water makes a stunning beer (!supposed to!?), because it is not allowed to bring alcoholic beverages into the stadiums.... So what is your - not necessarily serious but CREATIV - idea to make money? Post it now

PS.: It is not about me making money with YOUR ideas - it is about what can I do for you to PROTECT them or to SAFEGUARD against third party claims (e.g. to avoid unfair practices such as ambush marketing, etc)

Event organizers in Vienna and Berlin

They recently designed the much noticed exhibition "Austria and its Jews" in the Jewish Museum in Vienna. Their service portfolio ranges from e.g. theater sets to christmas decoration for shopping arcades.
