If you visit Los Angeles and would like to see what is going on in the young art world, go to Chinatown in downtown L.A. and find out for yourself. Mixed in with souvenir shops you'll find different galleries that show young artists. There is also 2642 La Cienega in Culver City and all the galleries along this strip. My favorite piece of art I saw was a Hummer made out of vinyl cloth and thread by Margarita Cabrera, a young Texas artist at http://www.waltermacielgallery.com
