Rebranding of Africa...
Hi there,
I'm trying to find people/design/companies/orgs/trade shows/events etc who are involved in Africa's contemporary culture and design industries.
I've come accross a couple of new mags (www.bhfmagazine.com) and someone here recommended Design Indaba which was a great find, thanks for that!
Any other recommendations on what's going on in Africa that I should know about?

I had a look at the various sites that you recommended and I am quite impressed by the things that you are doing. Well, the first name that came to my mind was Jan Malan from Umzingeli productions in South Africa.

We met him last year in Joburg and you might find a great sparring partner for your vision.
The other person is Rees Mann. He is a fashion entrepreneur in the heart of the Johannesburg´s Fashion District . He lives fashion with head, heart and hand. Over the years he has initiated a number of fashion related urban regeneration projects that have the potential to reshape the city of Johannesburg and African fashion in general.
