Our Code of Honour

1. Be the difference

Shapeshifters is a global community of conscious creators. Every posting and every comment you create is a role model for mutual appreciation and global respect. This is not just another place for global gossip. So choose your words carefully. Because words create worlds.

2. Embrace diversity

Shapeshifters represents a great variety of cultures and economies, industrialized nations as well as developing countries. Please bear in mind that not every user can make use of the web in the same way. What takes seconds if you have broadband connection in London might take days for users who work out of rural community centre in Tanzania. At Shapehifters, diversity is not just a word. It's an everyday reality.

3. Ask

Shapeshifters is a collaborative discovery and working tool. Instead of going for postings and comments to bluntly advertise yourself rather ask questions that bring you further. It makes a big difference. You will be surprised.

4. Trust

Be the change you want to see. Inspire others the way you want to be inspired yourself. Only introduce suppliers you would recommend to your best friend. The more you prove to be a trustful resource for others, the more trust will come back to you. Be sure that very posting you shape will trigger more postings of the same quality. You are in control.

5. Speak Out

This is a tough one. Although we support cultural diversity we have to ask you to keep your postings and comments in English until we have found a way to foster global connections across multiple languages by using a reliable translation programme. There is absolutely no need to be fluent in English when you use Shapeshifters. Don´t let grammar stop you from getting the place you deserve in this world.

6. Be clear

Be brief, accurate and concise when you write on the site. If you can say it in fewer words your message will only become stronger. Your attitude defines your words—and your words define the feedback you will get. In other words, if you find a post to be unhelpful, provide feedback that helps the user in question to communicate better.

7. Seed

Every effort you make to seed shapeshifters in your local community makes the entire global community stronger. Only invite peers you appreciate as they will increase the virtue of the communication that you are already a part of.
