Artists, Architects, Economist inCentral Asia

I will be traveling to Central Asia this September shooting a documentary based on an urban research project. It will be a video travelogue through the post-soviet cities of the Silk Road in Central Asia: Ashgabat, Bukhara, Samarkand, Tashkent, Almaty and Astana.

I am looking to get in touch with people who are from there or could advice some contacts. I'd like to interview artists, architects, economist, sociologist, and others who know the political, cultural and economic transformation of the cities that can be understood through their urban landscapes.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Does anybody know where I can get an old bathtub(in Bangalore) from?
I've tried all the markets and ramshackle shops in the city but couldn't find even one.
I don't need a fancy one. On the contrary, I need a really shabby looking one that that has been used well.

oh and I need it for my garden. planning to make a pond.

The UK has been talking about the threat from designers emerging from China. There is even an exhibition at the V+A featuring Chinese design, but is anybody commissioning work from Chinese based agenices. Do let me know if you have any expereince in this area?

I have an exciting new 8-Bit CD called 'DJ TR!P - SID Vicious' that I would like to promote in Europe...This CD was composed using a Commodore Amiga, Commodore 64, Nintendo Game Boy & PC...
Does any know of any people or radio stations which are open to independent video game inspired electro? or even any 'Indie' labels who might be interested?

Calling all writers without discipline

I've been writing since I was 10.

I am 32 now.

I have stacks of journals that almost touch the ceiling.

There must be a way to convert them all into books, I tell you!

I'm on my computer most of my waking hours...

And so, I am inviting all my favorite writers to come to me online...

All my other friends who are writers log on at the same time.

And together we are writing our novels...screenplays...poems...

It's a big change from the lonely hours a writer spends at the computer.
