I am partner of a project called “The Love of Men”, a homoerotic poetry book, written by Henrique Wagner, designed by Joshu with photos taken by me that uncover the homosexual love. We are looking for an art publisher or producer that can be open for daring -not pornographic, advertisements.

THE LOVE OF MEN is a project of an art book, comprising texts in verse from the writer Henrique Wagner, accompanied by black and white artistic photographs from Alice Ramos depicting homosexual couples' explicit nudity. The texts concern the love and passion between male bodies, relating to physical contact rather than Platonism without losing sight of the lyricism. Drawn on a literary tradition of long verses, the texts provide a cadence that respects natural breathing and a free and loose reading, pointing to a poetics-conscious work., well within Ezra Pound's concept of phanopoeia, although the Poundian logopoeia is also present. There is a variety of hues and textures, smells and sounds in the texts, which turns them into a corporeal network of blood, sap, tears and phlegm heading towards the building of the human beyond any patterns, boundaries and rules.

Even if the inevitable sexual inquiries arise, what predominates in the texts is not the knowledge but the flavor. The body stands above consequences and inconsequence, full of passion and complicity, balancing love and sex. That is what the photographic essays depict: homosexual eroticism overflowing with virility and sensibility.

There is no biology or sociology in the texts: sexuality is not scientifically viewed here. Texts and photographs are not committed to treaties or manuals, but to aesthetics. Beauty is intended to be part of every moment, blossoming into epiphanies in the triplets and in the movement of the black and white images.

The work's ultimate goal is to show the true beauty of the aesthetic relationship between people of the same gender, evoking all the nobleness of the feelings at stake.
