Inspiring an awareness of nature via the arts
Miranda Loud is the artistic director of Rialto Arts, a Boston-based arts organization that aims to be the place "where nature takes center stage." I conducted a lengthy and engaging interview with Miranda on my blog, which is called "Realistic Sanctuary Blog."
Check out the first part of a two-part interview and Miranda's thoughts on how the arts can make us more aware of our need to protect the natural world--from elephants to bees. It's an inspiring interview, infused with caring, humanity and a sense of the spiritual: http://www.realisticsanctuary.com

Dear Sanjay,
Thank you for this wonderful interview. It is great to read, that all around the world there are hopeful activities and spirits.
A girlfriend Diana Voigt inspires me always, when she comes back from the Schumacher College, which I want to share.
Her homepage is German but she has great links.

The most wonderful inspiration was the nomadic exhibition ashes and snow http://www.ashesandsnow.org/
What attract me most in your interview , was that “music and art to be a springboard for a vision of a new harmonious relationship with the natural world”. As I am helping to prepare a special event in Vienna with spiritual (shamanistic) dancers I like to send you the link from an interesting festival in Kuala Lumpur – Odissi Festival.

Ramli Ibrahim, founder of this theatre, will also perform in Vienna in Sept.
Because I believe also that art, music and especially spirtual dancing could heal our crazyness of destroying our planet.
Altough the state of the world does not look optimistic, I feel similar as Miranda Loud, because of all these activities arround the world.
Love
Rosemarie
