Good T-shirts needed

Dear friends the world over, we are planning to create Shapeshifters T-shirts that look beautiful, are manufactured under fair conditions, don´t harm the planet, but still have a reasonable price. That´s why I am looking for printable, shortsleeve T-shirts in the basic colours white, black, red, blue in Small, Medium, Large and X-Large. We require regular cut T-shirts for men and tailor cut T-shirts for women. Please could anyone give me practical advise where I could find this T-shirts or does anyone know of such a sustainable T-shirt supplier?

Hi Anne ? I recommend [from personal usage] Los Angeles-based, sweatshop-free, progressive t-shirt makers American Apparel. They use 100% USDA Certified Organic Cotton in many of their products.
American Apparel have an online shop and stores all over the globe.

Hmm,, i am looking for the same thing? Anybody know, in South Africa perhaps?

Anne, i agree with Nicola. American Apparel I have lready mentioned. They have one range which is from the cotton to the production all organic. this range also comes from long sleeve to singlets, they look good and feel good. You can see them here in Vienna in Mot Mot, in the Kirchengasse in the 7th district. Ask for Anne, she will be happy to show you the range. http://www.motmotdesign.com/
They are graphic designers who opened a tshirt print shop in Vienna and are also interested in finding out about all natural inks. they currently work with water based acrylic which is a start and are quite 'aware'.
I believe there are other producers but have only heard about those based in the states.

UK-wide this is a good resource – http://www.soilassociation.org/textiles.

Other ethical t-shirt designers (although I'm not sure if they are involved in wholesaling but you could give them a ring to see who their manufacturers/suppliers are): http://www.katharinehamnett.com/Contact+Us, http://www.howies.co.uk/content.php?xId=132 and http://www.thehempstore.co.uk/.

Hi Anne - i know you requested this a long time ago but i thought i would also point you in the direction of the company below. I deal with Danny Heenan (a really nice guy) and he is both creative in his approach, extremely approachable and is well worth having a chat with. Good luck!!
