I will be traveling to Central Asia this September shooting a documentary based on an urban research project. It will be a video travelogue through the post-soviet cities of the Silk Road in Central Asia: Ashgabat, Bukhara, Samarkand, Tashkent, Almaty and Astana.

I am looking to get in touch with people who are from there or could advice some contacts. I'd like to interview artists, architects, economist, sociologist, and others who know the political, cultural and economic transformation of the cities that can be understood through their urban landscapes.
